The DIY Okonomiyaki and Tepanyaki restaurant.

Wel’back to our block again and today I’m going to introduce you to the DIY Japanese restaurant “Dohton Bohri” which located in Ai Japanese Restaurant at Terminal 21, Asok, Bangkok.

Dohton Bori is a Japanese restaurant that let customers cook their foods by themselves with a little help from waiters and waitresses.

Miyabi” the Japanese buffet restaurant

30 Sep
Taste rather well with a reasonable price tag.

Do you like buffet? I do like it.
And the buffet war in Bangkok is the reason
that i introduce you "Miyabi" the Japanese buffet restaurant
which has 15 branches across the capital city of Thailand.

Thai people especially teenagers and young people love buffet restaurants.
A massive crowd in front of buffet restaurants is a normal scenario in the weekends.
Among those buffet restaurants
the Japanese buffet restaurant is the most outstanding
bacause Japanese foods are the favourite for Thais.
However, it is a high competitive market and
many restaurants jump into this business and Miyabi is one of them.

Miyabi is a japanese buffet reataurant which has a charcoal grill
and tons of japanese sushis and sidedishes.

The restaurant gives you two choices.
The basic selection which has nearly everything for grilling,
sliced pork, sliced meat and etc.

The premium selection has seafood and some imported meat as an option,
for example, fresh salmon, fresh shrimp, Australian meat and etc.
Let's talk about sushi and other sidedishe,
the restaurant gives customers 30 choices of sushi and tempura,
Tonkatsu (fried pork) with Wasabi sauce.
All menus taste well when compare to the price tags of 400 baht for each person
with 1.30 hours of eating time.
Drinks are included in the menu, with a decent range from soda to green tea.
I hope you guys enjoy my entry and if you like this
please like and feel free to comment. Thx

Yamagoya Ramen

30 Sep
Japanese foods are always my favourite food. Ramen is one of them.
For the people who don't know what ramen is.
Ramen is exactly like a Chinese noodle but it has some unique ingredients,
seasoning, and noodles. Ramen has two important parts.
First, noodles, which are made from wheat and then cooked in boiled water.
Second is soup, basically soup can bemade from pork bones and and seasoning.

Today, I'll bring you to the traditional ramen restaurant from Japan "Yamagoya".
Yamagoya has a long history in making ramen
and many people say Yamagoya's ramen has unique taste.
Noodles and soup are perfectly fit.
The sliced pork taste good. Side dishes are also taste good,
Gyoza is the recommend side dish.

I order two traditional ramens and I find out that
the traditional ramen is perfectly fit for everybody.
It's not necessary to add more spice or any seasoning.

However, I try to proove my thought that
Yamagoya's noodle possibly taste even better.
So I order a dish of plain noodles and a set of grilled pork.

Noodles come with some special sauce under it
and I believe that sauce is a mixture between
sesame oil and some spice which create a great taste.
Grilled pork taste great and it gets even better
when you eat with that plain noodles. It just perfect.

Price tags are reasonable, it's not cheap
but it's worth to pay a little more for such a good taste ramen, Yamagoya's ramen.

I hope you guys enjoy my entry and if you like this
please like and feel free to comment. Thx :D

ISAO Fusion Japanese Sushi Bar

29 Sep

With the inspiration and experience from working in a famous Japanese restaurant at Chicago, the owner create “ISAO” Japanese restaurant that is located at Sukhumvit 31. The concept of ISAO is Fusion Japanese Sushi Bar. This shop emphasizes the simple and friendly atmosphere. I feel like I am in Japan. The shop is clean and cozy. It decorates in Japanese style with bamboos.

Sushi bar counter is the most popular seat where you can watch the chefs diligently make about their cooking. Surprisingly, it offers the creative, colorful, and beautiful food.

I would like to go for “Jackie” or the recommended menu. This one was made of Shrimp tempura, ebiko, and avocado wrapped with ebi (shrimp) that served with special sauce. It is so fresh and delicious. This menu is the signature of ISAO. If you do not order “Jackie”, it indicates that you did not come here.

Another one, “Volcano” is the baked scallops in spicy sauce. When I eat it, I feel that explodes in my mouth with the fresh baked scallop like volcano.

My favorite menu is “Crunchy” that made of tempura batter stuffed with spicy salmon. It is very crispy outside and soft inside.

This next one is “Sushi Sandwich”. It is the sandwich in Japanese style. Basically, it is spicy tuna and salmon stuffed between layers of sushi rice with tempura, ebiko and scallion.

For desserts, I recommend you “Mixed Ice Cream” including Green tea, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream with Japanese red beans.

I assure you all sushi is very fresh and ingredient is too high quality.
